Hi, I’m Sambavi!

About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), working with teens, college students, and young adults in Austin, Texas.

I am also a proud South Asian, millennial, ADHD-er, and bilingual child of immigrants (what’s up fellow third culture kids!). Outside of the office, you can find me learning choreography, reading BIPOC stories, volunteering, and hunting for the best chocolate chip cookie in town.

My Therapy Style

My approach to therapy is warm, relational, culturally-conscious, and solution-focused. I’m here to be on your team! That includes supporting and encouraging you while simultaneously challenging you and holding you accountable. Together, we will set goals, develop a plan to achieve them, and learn practical tools for you to feel confident in tackling the challenges that come your way.

I also strive to be an anti-racist and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist by providing decolonized mental health services and celebrating all of your strengths, gifts, and identities. I believe you are the expert of your life and should dictate your needs for therapy. I am here to provide a space for you to be yourself, fully and wholly.

Finally, when appropriate, I like to have fun in therapy and try to tailor our sessions to what you vibe with! Love art? Let’s process that negative self-talk with a drawing exercise. Enjoy the outdoors? Let’s build in emotion regulation with mindful walks. Watch a thought-provoking TikTok? Let’s watch and unpack. Let’s make the most of our hour together!
